FlexNet Operations 2014
FlexNet Operations categorizes organizations into four organization types. On the Manage Organizations page, each of these organization types has its own tab: Publsiher, Customer, Partner, and Self Registered.

Description |

Publisher |
The organization for the software publisher, the primary FlexNet Operations admin site owners. Publishers can create multiple sub-organizations to their publisher organization. |

Customer |
The category of organizations that are the end users of your software or device. This category includes PORTAL_ORG_UNIT—the default organization that maps to users who choose to self-register through the self-service portal. |

Partner |
The category of organizations that are distribution partners, like wholesalers, distributors, resellers, and retailers. Publishers can map their distribution tiers by defining their distribution partners as partner organizations. These organizations then play a special role in FlexNet Operations. |
|
Self Registered |
This category includes users who self-register by logging in to the portal with an entitlement ID or activation ID and set up a their own user account. |
