FlexNet Operations 2014
An organization is an entity in FlexNet Operations. Organizations can represent the structure of a customer enterprise, the internal structure of your software publisher or device manufacturer and, optionally, the relationships between the publisher and its distribution chain. Each entitlement is tied to an organization.
Organizations can have sub-organizations, which can be used to reflect the hierarchical nature of corporate structures. Organizations and sub-organizations are defined in a parent-child relationship.
For example, you could define Acme Global as the main organization, and set up Acme US and Acme EMEA as sub-organizations.
An organization hierarchy can have multiple levels to flexibly accomodate different organizational models. For example, a single organization can have multiple sub-organizations, which would share a sibling relationship. Sub-organizations can themselves have sub-organizations. In addition, organizations can have multiple parents.
