Changing the State of a Device

FlexNet Operations 2014

Note: Manually setting the state of a device applies only to FlexNet Embedded (FNE) clients and servers. It does not apply to test devices and test servers, nor does it apply to served clients.

For non-test devices, you can change an active device to obsolete or revert an obsolete device to active state. (Test devices can neither be changed to active nor obsolete.)

Note: Any entitlements assigned to an active device remain with that device when its state is changed to obsolete. The entitlements only return to the entitlement pool when the obsolete device is deleted.

1. On the Manage Devices page, click the tab for the type of device. Choose either Clients or Servers.
2. In the devices list, select the devices for which you want to change the state.
