FlexNet Operations 2014
Devices can be deleted from the Manage Devices page. Only client and server devices (not served clients) with a current state of obsolete or test can be deleted and, once deleted, these devices cannot be recovered. (Active devices cannot be deleted.) Also, any add-ons assigned to the device return to the entitlement pool when the device is deleted.
Note: Served client devices are removed from FlexNet Operations when their parent FNE server is deleted. It is also possible to clear the served clients associated with a server by resetting the server’s sync data. See Resetting Sync Data.
To delete a device
1. | On the Manage Devices page, click the tab for the type of device to delete. Choose either Clients or Servers. (Served clients cannot be deleted directly.) |
2. | Select the device you want to delete from the devices list. |
3. | Click Delete. This opens a confirmation window that asks you to confirm the deletion. |
4. | Click OK to confirm. |
Note: To delete an active device, you must first change its state to obsolete.
