Configuring Updates

FlexNet Operations 2014

Administer Operations | System Configuration | Updates

A user must be assigned a role with the View and Manage Configurations permission to modify configuration settings for updates through the Administrative Console.

Note: Before changing any configuration settings in a working FlexNet Operations installation, it is advisable to export the working configuration settings. If there is a problem with the new settings, you have a backup of working settings to restore.

To change update configuration settings through the FlexNet Operations Administrative Console:

Select Administer Operations > System Configuration > Updates to open the configuration page for updating from the Administrative Console.

View or change the values of the following settings. Required fields are indicated with an asterisk. If a default value exists, it is listed as the first choice.

Receive Updates Though Web Application	Checked	Checked to enable access to the FlexNet Connect through the Administrative Console. This setting does not affect the ability to patch from the command line.
Daily Update Check	Checked	Checked to enable daily check for new updates.
Update Check Hour	5 or specify integer 0-23.	Hour of daily update check
Update Check Minute	55 or specify integer 0-59.	Minutes after the hour of daily update check
Connection Retry Limit	3 or specify	Maximum number of times to attempt a connection to the FlexNet Connect for a daily update check.
Connection Retry Delay	10	Number of minutes to wait between connection attempts for a daily update check

Click Save Configurations to save changes.
